Welcome to the home of the Fanitullen cats.
I have 2 beautiful Norwegian Forest Cats (NFC) at the moment, so as you can probably guess this is not a very large cattery, but a small cattery having the occational litter.
I started out in 1993 with buying my beautiful, white Irmelin. Since then I have had only five litters.

I live on the outskirts of Arendal, a town in the south of Norway. A couple of years back we moved from a small flat in the town of Kristiansand (also southern Norway) to a nice house with a big garden. The cats just love it! In the summer we built them a 50 m2 catrun. And finally - 3 years later, we made a tunnel from the house so the cats can come and go as they please.

The run

My interest in the Norwegian Forest Cat started when I was a little girl. Due to my mothers fondness of cats we have allways had one or two cats for as long as I can remember. Once, she went away for the weekend and when she came home she had this tiny, little lovely tortie and white kitten with her. This was back in 1978 and NRR had just started to find cats that would fit the new Norwegian breed of cats acknowledged in 1977 by FIFe, namely the Norwegian Forest Cat. I remember being allowed in with my mother to a room with some very serious men and women who after some discussion decided that our Skrållan was to be a proper Forest cat!

I was hooked from that moment on....

Skrållan I
This is me, about 10 years old, and Skrållan our first NFC,
unfortunately I have not been able to find a better photo of her

Some years later, Skrållan was no longer with us, we took in a lovely cat named Festus. He was approximately 3 years old at the time and had lived with one of our neighbours. When she decided to move, she found that she wouldn't bother taking her cat with her and so left him to fend for himself. My mother beeing the cat lover that she is, decided that it was too bad that the beautiful cat was left hungry out in the cold, so she took him in, despite the fact that she now had a new tortie and white cat named Skrållan(II). This time I took the cat to a show and had him acknowledged as a Forest Cat. Unfortunately (for me!) Festus didn't like shows, so he only went on two! Whereafter I decided that he was better off being at home where he could stay outdoors and chase the mice and the birds. Festus went out as usual one day (he was 13 years of age), never to return.

Festus
Festus, our 2nd NFC, having found a nice xmas ribbon to play with,
he was such a lovely cat and I miss him dearly...

Skrållan II
I also think that our Skrållan II deserves a place here, she was not a proper NFC, but she
had many likenesses to the breed. She died from cancer a few years back.
On this photo she is trying to write her name whith a piece of string.

It wasn't until many years after the first Skrållan that I finally bought my first Forest Cat. I had to get my education (did something as "uncatly" as a degree in Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire, UK) and a job first, of course!

Well, my first cat was a beautiful, white queen from the breeder of (N)Catline. She was six weeks old and I loved her from the moment I saw her!
A little while later I bought another female from the same breeder.
Now, many years later, I have not become a big breeder. Nor am I the keenest shower. I do however, enjoy the company of my cats immensely and I also like to have kittens once in a while. I do show my cats as I enjoy coming out to meet other "cat people" like myself. But you won't find me on the showbench 2-3 times a month! :-)
Enjoy the website!
